Meet Taja Cato

Taja grew up in a small town in British Columbia, Canada, and was diagnosed with T1D at age 9. For the first 18 years of diagnosis, she tried to hide it, not wanting to be different. She didn't feel confident in her skin or how her body looked.
At 25, she discovered the "secret sauce" that helped her get and stay fit. Now, she helps other T1Ds achieve their fitness goals.

Wins & Fails
Jessie's Win: She's going back home for spring break after midterms!
Colleen's Fail: When we recorded this, I had not set up my new insulin pump yet despite having it for almost a month.
Tip of the Week
Try to have a main supply of diabetic equipment then keep a smaller supply in places you frequent. On the health and fitness topic, it's a good idea to keep a change of supplies in your gym bag.
