Kyrra Richards, founder of Myabetic, was 24 when diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
Scared of negative perceptions and wanting to feel normal, she created Myabetic to create an image she could be proud of.
She used to be a professional dancer and choreographer!

Tip of the Week
Practice explaining diabetes to the age level of the kid you’re talking to. Answer questions as honestly as you can, but it’s okay to not use big medical words that may confuse them.
